The probate judge of each county is responsible for printing election forms, stationery, and supplies for each election (see Ala. Code, 17-8-44 and 17-9-16 [1975]). A packet of supplies containing precinct recapitulation sheets, ballot seals, ballot labels, and diagrams are delivered to each polling place by the sheriff. This series consists of the precinct recapitulation sheet that is completed when the votes are counted at the close of the polling place. It details the number of votes received by each candidate at the polling place. The Secretary of State's Elections and Registration Division maintains precinct Recapitulation Sheets in series S-7-4, Election Files.
